Feed Bag Tote with horse print lining.

This took about an hour with the lining and all.  The handles are a plastic canvas that are heavy duty.
I hope to get better at making these in the very near future.
I like this one for it has the full runing horse on it and no people in this picture.

Tote Bag Feed Bag

I made this tote bag our of a Nylon Feed bag from the feed mill and tried to draw a horse on the outside. It has a cotton ticking liner that I got from the second hand store and sewed it all together. I am sure that the next one will be a little more with it, so to speak.
The drawing could be better but it was my first.
Cotton lining and flat bottom.
It is almost transparent.  I like it overall.  One hour and one
Horse!

A Saddle Blanket Trace. Quilted Goodness

I traced a Weatherbeeta saddle blanket to base it as a pattern.  I tried to find an pattern online but they all were not so thorough or they wanted money so I just traced mineown.
I had to use a marker for my material marker that washes out only
lasted for five projects.  PTPTPTPTT
At this poing I already had the lines on it with a marker and traced out the batting (quilt material) and the bottom that I made out of a sheet from the second hand store.
This is such a life saver.  Stitching or "basting" as they call it
is so overrated.  This spray is a dream and a little bit goes a
long way so use with haste!

Once you have it all sewed together
You will need your binding material.  I used some of the same material but
I did pull out a velvet dress from yesteryear and it didn't look right so I went
with the material that I was using.  BLUE lines out of that.

You put good face to good face and sew the outside and then turn it over for the binding to
go toward in underside and also to trim the excess batting.

I had to hand sew the final corner.  Don't click on this.
I don't know why it is doing this.  But below is the
corner I had to hand sew.

I added some nylon webbing that we pulled off an old back pack for the holders.  COOL!

I added a two inch center just for fun.

And WAAALAAA, my custom made saddle blanket front to back!  Three hours and much love
in this project!  Who knew>?

Natural Wood Projects....Easy

I found a slab of walnut that looked like a fish so I added a caption with
stain for my brothers wedding.  He is a big fisherman...
He lives in Jacksonville FL and I found this saying that really suits
him and his new wife....
This was a slab of wood that a friend gave me and it just looked like
a phish so I sanded it and added a chain for hanging.
I love my Big Fish!

Cozy Chicken Coops....

made quite a few of these with my husband and entered people into the
world of chickens and ducks.  So wonderful and some wonderful

Our little coop design for three birds for urban living and backyard
chickens.  This is pictured without the run.!
I made this out of reclaimed wood for my sisters dog.... Easy with a
Miter saw and a screw gun and a little glue and sand paper.
Mitered corners on the 45 slant.
A very small one for little dogs plus a pillow.
